eMavio responds to valid legal process from US federal, state, and local law-enforcement and government agencies. This page describes how to submit requests.
How to submit
Send subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and preservation requests via the Contact page with the subject "Legal Process." Include:
- Issuing agency and jurisdiction
- Signed process document
- The specific data requested
- The account, phone number, email, or IP address at issue
- A response deadline and case number
Emergency requests
For requests involving imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, mark the subject line "Emergency Disclosure Request" and provide contact details for a return call. We will evaluate on a case-by-case basis consistent with 18 U.S.C. § 2702(b)(8) / (c)(4).
User notice
Unless prohibited by law or court order, or unless notice would create a risk of physical harm or obstruction, eMavio may notify the affected user before disclosing their information.
Costs
We may seek reimbursement of costs where permitted by law.
